Choosing Your Perfect Wedding Table Linens!

There are so many pretty decor idea's,
how does a couple decide what to choose?
Today we may make your decision a bit harder
because our topic today is Wedding Linens!

Many hotels, halls, and major reception venues offer basic white linens with your room rental. There is nothing wrong at all with using what is offered. If you can, spice it up if you like with table runners, color napkins, overlays or spend the money you saved on chair covers which most do not offer. If offered, don't automatically reject the free linens, you can invest the money you save in another area!

Many couples choose to go with the matte polyester style linens, but if you like a shiner look choose the satin or silk! In most event rentals shops the cost is equal to the polyester style so you can choose whether you like the look of matte or shiny!

One of our favorite linens to use through-out a wedding reception is the Pintuck Style! It adds a bit of texture to the table and gives a since of luxury without having the up cost of renting couture linens! They are a bit pricier than the standard polyester or satin, but are still affordable and look stunning in most settings!

A very popular Linen style used is the Crinkle Satin! It looks great on all style tables and plus you don't have to worry about any of those annoying wrinkles!

Now that we have explored the most popular linens styles used, in most cases the couture style linens are used for cake tables, sweetheart tables and head tables. With that said, why not use Petal Style or Rosette full linens, toppers, or runners throughout your entire reception!

There are so many styles and patterns of Linens to choose from we could post and review for months, but our last style were exploring is sequins! Use it for the cake or if you're a sparkle girl, use it all over! It will cost quite a bit, but you can't beat the look! If you have any questions or would like to check out some of 1 Elegant Events couture linen samples, feel free to call for a consultation!

411 Pointers on Wedding Guest Etiquette

Great 411 Pointers on Wedding Guest Etiquette

We all have heard and seen them too...
the fashion aficionados proclaiming that white is the "new black" this season as a wardrobe staple. This may be true, but for weddings and bridal showers, leave the solid white to the bride unless asked to in the invitation!

The whole reason for your invite was for you to be a honored witness to your loved ones life changing event! It is rather tacky to skip the ceremony and attend only the celebration. The couple may not notice, but the other guests will. Since were speaking of the ceremony PLEASE DO Arrive Before the Bride gets to the aisle! This really does seems like the most obvious advice, but for some reason there are always stragglers. Be sure to make every possible effort to arrive at the wedding ceremony at least 10 -20 minutes early!

Unless your invitation specifically states "plus 1", "and guest" or "and family" you can presume only the people named on the invitation are invited. You may want, feel, think, and be sure others should be invited, but only those issuing the invitations can make those decisions. Due to the rising cost per person most must stick below a certain number of guest. For all the singles out there, an FYI weddings are great places to meet potential mates!

Our second to last 411 Pointer concerning Wedding Guest Etiquette is about Clicking Cameras. Personal pictures taken by guest should be taken at the beginning and at the end of the ceremony. Only the photographer hired for the event should be clicking away during the ceremony (this includes the vows, ring exchange and kiss). The clicks, flashes and sound of film rewinding can turn a serious and (usually) religious event into a paparazzi-fest and the other flashes could potentially interfere with the professional shots. Also on the subject of uploading to the Internet, it's OK to tag yourself at the event, but try to wait until the end of the night to post your pictures. Give the couples hired or appointed instant Internet liaison a chance to upload them instantly first!

Our last 411 Pointer about Wedding Guest Etiquette is about when is a good time to leave? Maybe you have to work early in the morning or drive back that night night, if you have accepted the celebration invitation, you should remain at the party until the wedding cake has been cut. It really is rude to leave before then because they thought enough of you to invite you and pay for all that came with that (catering, decor and etc). Once the cake cutting has ended if you must leave, you may, but before you leave, be sure to wish the wedding couple well, congratulate the families of the bride/groom, and thank the wedding hosts (i.e. whoever paid for the wedding!).

By following these few tips, you will be the perfect guest to the prestigious event you were invited.  Feel free to share with friends, because sharing is caring! Have fun!

Top 5 Things To Do 1st When Planning Your Wedding

*1.Do not pick a date unless it holds a particular meaning, pick a location!
Have a particular place you would like to get married and have a reception? Choose a particular month you would like to get married and then find what days they have available.

**2.Once you have your location and date, book a photographer!
The earlier you can get a photographer, the capturer of all you wedding memories, the better selection you will have! Photography is not the place where you want to save! Quality,Quality Quality!!!

***3.If your wedding is in less than 9 months go buy and order your Bridal Gown! It takes up to 8 months for your wedding dress order to come in depending on the designer and store purchased from.

****4.Select your support team, Your bridal party, and begin on your guest list. Most prices will be based off the number of people who will attend, how much food, number of tables, linens, chairs, and the list goes on and on.....

  1. Hire a professional wedding & event planner. They may seem expensive at first but I promise you, what they save you in money, time and wasted energy will well surpass the cost your qualified professional will charge. Reputable established companies will save you endless hours of searching, costly mistakes, they will develop your design and allow you to enjoy the whole experience! They do not take the planning from you (unless that is what you want), they aid you and guide you thought the whole experience!
