Your Wedding FOOD
Lets open this topic up with a
question,
What foods are you thinking about serving at your wedding?
We are discussing the cocktail hour, the most popular wedding food and how
to tie in your catering with your wedding theme without it being too
kitschy!
Lets start with the cocktail hour. Make your
hour of pre mingling and social hour interesting by spicing it up with
an ice bar, yes a full bar made of ice or shrimp bar made of ice. Forget
about just throwing those appetizers over ice cubes when you can add to your
decoration with functional ice art!
The
Potato Bar! Everybody loves a potato bar, it's filling and you can put
all your favorites atop. At your catering consultation think about
putting a spin on yours and having a sweet potato bar with all the
fixings, brown sugar, marshmallows, butter, caramel... The possibles are
endless!
So you ask, how do you tie in my catering with our wedding theme without it being too
kitschy? If it is a holiday theme, serve up its traditional foods like for Christmas wedding having a red velvet flavored wedding cake instead of the traditional white cake. Jazz up a thanksgiving theme with single serve cornish hens and dressing, serve up mini burgers and fries for cocktail hour for a July fourth theme and the list is endless!
